Potomac River Partners is a specialized management consulting firm. We provide compliance and management advisory solutions for life sciences companies of all sizes. Potomac River Partners brings expertise to our clients to help them mitigate risk and implement effective change.
Come build your career with us! Working for a smaller firm means less bureaucracy and greater opportunity to navigate your own path.
Team members are given the early responsibilities that come from working for a smaller firm and having greater exposure to a variety of experiences. Each person’s effort makes a real difference to our clients and the company’s bottom line.
ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET
We are intellectually curious, adaptable, and forward thinking. We rely on our people to bring fresh, creative thinking to help solve challenges.
TEAM APPROACH
Our team environment brings all levels of the organization together to collaborate on client projects, which enables greater visibility and learning.
WORK/LIFE BALANCE
Our typical work schedule is 40-50 hours per week and our company requires less travel than typical consulting firms (maximum of 40-60% travel time).
COLLEGIAL SPIRIT
We like to have fun and try not to take ourselves too seriously. We organize company outings, which have included fishing trips on the Chesapeake Bay, paintball in the woods of Loudoun County, Virginia, and happy hour celebrations.
LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
We support continued growth and learning through our quarterly training events and our “Happy Learning” series where a team member presents on a given topic. We also offer an annual allotment to be used on approved professional development activities and annually sponsor employees for the Seton Hall Compliance Certification Program.
Our goal is to hire individuals who want to grow their career with us. A typical career progression is:
Associate
Senior Associate
Consultant
Manager
Director
While day-to-day tasks vary based on your role on a given project, Associates provide a supporting role on projects, which may include keeping minutes in meetings, conducting data analysis, and writing drafts of our monthly Compliance News deliverables.
Our Managers lead medium-sized to smaller project engagements and/or spearhead a significant workstream on a larger engagement. Managers often work autonomously at client sites, with limited Director-level oversight.
Consultant responsibilities generally include executing project workstreams, such as creating monitoring dashboards, and building training solutions. Our Consultants also provide live monitoring support, such as ride-alongs and speaker program reviews.
Directors act as account supervisors with our clients, providing day-to-day oversight responsibility of project teams and serve as the primary contact point. Our Directors often act as the engagement project manager, especially for larger engagements.
